Ekta Kapoor’s primetime show, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, has a twist to the plot. The new track will be about the murder of Sakshi Tanwar aka Parvati’s 16-year-old granddaughter Tanu, which bears a striking resemblance to the recent Aarushi-murder case.

Soap queen Ekta Kapoor seems to be cashing in on the sensational case of the 15-year-old Aarushi Talwar, which has raked up a lot of public interest. The new track will go on air from next week.

Our source informed us, “The track is currently being shot and even the actors on the sets are commenting about its similarity to the Aarushi-murder case. The track will show the death of Parvati’s 16-year-old granddaughter Tanu played by Akshita.”

In the serial, the body of Tanu’s boyfriend is found inside the house just as the body of the servant was found on the terrace, in Aarushi’s case. The similarities do not end here. In the show as in reality, Tanu’s ashes will be immersed in Haridwar just like Aarushi’s.

Also, the drama will focus on a family member’s involvement in the murder. Like Aarushi’s mother, Parvati will be shown giving interviews to the media. The show has also incorporated the element of the MMS from Aarushi’s case and the CBI probe into the case.

Though Ekta Kapoor remained unavailable for comment, Nivedita Basu, creative head of P, confirmed the development of the new track without giving out the details. Said Nivedita, “We are working on a new track with Ekta and it will be out in a day or so.”

When asked whether the track was inspired by the Aarushi-murder case, she said, “I don’t know anything of that.”

SHOULD SUCH INCIDENTS BE TELECASTED IN TELEVISION??

We can understand the condition of Aarushi’s mother what she is going through after hearing that her daughter is making food for television viewers. But the law should not stop telecasting such serial. First of all there is no character named Aarushi in the serial, so it cannot be said it is a copy of Aarushi tale, it can only have a slight resemblence with the real incident. And there are so many films and stories having resemblence with real life incidents so it does not mean we will ban them. Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki has no intention to show Aarushi through the serial it is just putting forward a story(which it had been putting forward for so many years) which has resemblence with a real life incident. There is no need to create a hue n cry over it.
